Dynamic Sitting – Awareness Through Movement Workshop

We have all heard that we sit too much. But sitting is often a necessary part of our western living. So the question becomes how can you sit in a way that is good for your body? Sitting where you can feel the support of your skeleton and an ability to shift and move easily?

In this workshop you will:

-learn the body positions that lead to tightness and pain in your neck,shoulders and low back.

-sense the pathway of support in the sitting position.

-find the mobility in your back and shoulders that leads to more comfort and dexterity in using your hands in sitting – for computer use,piano,reading…

-know how to select a chair that works for your body.

This workshop will be conducted with students sitting in chairs only. There will be no work on the mats.

Saturday, September 29.  9:00am – 1:00pm.

Cost: $60.
